Complainant/Victim: Troy Lee Lueth, age 32 of Alexandria, MN

Case Details:


On 07/07/2020 at 1517 hours, Douglas County Dispatch received a 911 call for an accident, involving a motorcycle, on County Rd 82 SE. The caller stated the rider was down in the roadway. Douglas County Deputies, North Ambulance and a MN State Trooper responded to the scene. When emergency responders arrived, they found the rider, Troy Lueth, on the edge of the roadway. A first responder had stopped to assist and was with Troy. Troy had significant but non-life threatening injuries. He was transported to Alomere Hospital and later transferred to another hospital for further treatment.

The investigation revealed that a car had stopped to make a left-hand turn. The vehicles behind the car began to stop and Troy was unable to stop in time. He clipped the rear corner of a passenger car then laid the motorcycle down on the roadway. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
