Zoning Ordinance Revision Relating to Clearing, Grading, Riprap, and Use of Pavers

Please take notice that on the 14th day of December, 2021 at 7:15 p.m., the Douglas County Planning Advisory Commission will hold a public hearing at the County Public Works Facility Meeting Room, Alexandria, Minnesota 56308, on proposed amendments to Sections V and VIII of the Zoning Ordinance.  The amendments propose to establish a permit requirement and standards for the placement of rock riprap in shore impact zones, establish a permit requirement and additional standards for vegetation clearing and soil grading in shoreland areas, and remove language referring to pervious pavement systems and/or the any credit that may be granted for such systems.
